Week Three


The third week gives the first glimpse into relapse maintenance.  Stress, being around cigarette smokers and gaining more confidence defines week three.

Day 15: 14 days; 12 hours; 40 minutes.  Beat 218 cigarettes.  I have saved $54.48.  My circulation is improving and walking becomes easier.  My lung function can increase by 30%!  I really do notice this on my walks.
  • Thoughts of relapse prevention and the Law of Addiction.
Day 16: 15 days; 13 hours; 14 minutes.  Beat 233 cigarettes.  I have saved $58.32.  Circulation and lung improvement.
    • Body changes and naturally detoxing.  
    Day 17: 16 days; 14 hours; 1 minute.  Beat 249 cigarettes.  I have saved $62.19.  Circulation and lung improvement.
    • Body update and effects of the detox.
    Day 18: 17 days; 13 hours; 3 minutes. Beat 263 cigarettes.  I have saved $65.79.  Circulation and lung improvement.
      • Stress and relapse prevention is really hard to do.
      Day 19: 18 days; 13 hours; 1 minute.  Beat 278 cigarettes.  I have saved $69.54.  Circulation and lung improvement.
        • Watching fellow quitters relapse around me.  They are falling like flies!
        Day 20: 19 days; 12 hours; 57 minutes. Beat 293 cigarettes.  I have saved $73.27.  Circulation and lung improvement.
          • The immediate reward of beating a craving is better than any form of nicotine.
          Day 21: 20 days; 13 hours; 33 minutes.  Beat 308 cigarettes.  I have saved $77.12.  Circulation and lung improvement.
            • Thought about dealing with cravings while living with a smoker.
